This workshop will explore the field of Remote Sensing and how it is used in geospatial technologies.  Remote Sensing is getting data from the earth without direct contact in many different wavelengths, such as visible light, infrared, radio, etc.  It can be done both as an active or passive system.  Once the information is gathered either by aircraft or satellite it must be analyzed to determine what is occurring in the region.
